Founder and Owner
Carl Shepherd is the Founder and Owner of CDS Refresh, bringing over 25 years of experience serving the DFW Metroplex's break room and food service needs. A US Navy veteran, Carl developed deep expertise in supply chain management, equipment procurement, and logistics during his military service, later honing his skills through national retail pharmacy management and merchandising supervision. His passion for food and healthy eating traces back to an agrarian childhood outside Shreveport, Louisiana, where he learned small farm husbandry and the value of hard work from his sharecropper grandparents. Carl combines military discipline with genuine care for clients, leading CDS Refresh's growth into a full-service provider of micro-markets, coffee, and workplace refreshment solutions. As a veteran and minority business owner, he is deeply committed to helping DFW-area companies build thriving workplace cultures through thoughtful, customized food service.
